아르망은 탕기 영감에게 빈센트가 어떻게 화가가 되었고 파리에서 어떤 생활을 했는지 듣게 된다.

Pere Tanguy:  Vincent picks up a brush for the first time at 28. With Theo's support, there was no stopping him.
Armond: 「So what happened then?」 (그 후로는 어떻게 됐나요?)
Pere Tanguy:  Paris happened. He came here, of course. They all do. Everyone does.  (파리로 왔죠. 당연히 이곳으로 왔죠. 다들 그러잖아요. 모두 다요.)

「Waht happened after that?」
「What was the next thing that happened?」

Louise:  I'll make sure the doctor gets the letter.
Armand:  No, I'd... 「I'd rather deliver it in person.」 I want to ask the doctor about Vincent.
Louise:  Well, I can tell you about him. He was evil.
Armand:  Is that a medical opinion?
Louise:  I could tell at first glance it would end in trouble.  (그를 처음 보자마자 끝이 안 좋을 걸 알았죠.)

「I prefer to give it to him by hand.」
「I'd like to deliver it myself.」

Adeline: Fancy something? (뭐라도 드릴까요?)
Armand: 「I won't say "No" to a hot coffee.」 (따뜻한 커피 한 잔이라면 거절 못하겠네요.)
Adeline: So what brings you to Auvers? (오베르엔 무슨 일로 오셨나요?)
Armand: A friend of my father's, Vincent Van Gogh. We just found out he killed himself.
Adeline: He stayed here.
Armand: I know. Were you here when it happened?

「I'd love a hot cup of coffee.」
「A cup of hot coffee would be nice.」

Adeline: I guess you could say he was well organized. (자기 관리가 철저한 사람이었던 것 같아요.)
Armand: Vincent?
Adeline: Yeah, you could set your watch by him. Painting from eight until five. You'd think he was going off to a regular job. 「He went all over;」 Chaponval, the fields, the woods, the river. He really liked the river. (네, 걸어다니는 시계나 다름없었어요. ... 누가 보면 직장으로 출근한다고 생각했을 거예요. 「그는 사방을 돌아다녔죠.」...)

「He was going everywhere.」
「There were so many places that he'd go.」
